2S & LGBTQ+ Intergenerational Kitchen: Monthly!

The 2SLGBTQIA+ Intergenerational Virtual Kitchen is hosted by Compass Community Health and Speqtrum. Come cook and chat and enjoy a meal over Zoom – a new creation each month. Ingredient packages are delivered to those participants who need one.

Trans Youth Accessing Gender Affirming Care (Feb 2)

During the summer of 2018, SAFETY (Support and Education for Trans Youth) conducted an independent survey of youth and families’ experiences accessing care at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario’s gender diversity clinic. Kaeden Sebrun, co-founder and organizer of SAFETY, will present the process and findings of SAFETY’s research and what it means for trans young people and people who care for them.

This event is open to parents/guardians/caregivers of trans youth and trans youth. Social service and health care providers wanting more information or a copy of the research report can email

Event: Casey Plett

Casey Plett wrote the novel Little Fish, the short story collection A Safe Girl to Love, and co-edited the anthology Meanwhile, Elsewhere: Science Fiction and Fantasy from Transgender Writers. She is a winner of the Amazon First Novel Award, the ALA Stonewall Book Award Barbara Gittings Literature Prize, and a two-time winner of the Lambda Literary Award. She has written for The New York Times, The Walrus, McSweeney’s, Maclean’s, and Rookie, among other publications. She lives in Windsor, Ontario.
